Big GAAY Holiday Extravaganza
Our third edition of this fantastic event. This year's theme is "All In The Family." You can't choose your relatives, but you can choose your family! Now more than ever it is critical we surround ourselves with people who love us just as we are. So come celebrate your holiday of choice with people who respect, love, and care about you. People who appreciate the true authentic version of you.
Who's Invited?
Anyone who participated in any of our leagues in 2025 is welcome to attend. You may bring a guest, we just ask that anyone who attends that did not participate in a league, make a $10 donation during the registration process to help cover the cost of renting the facility.
This is a family event, so league participants, feel free to bring your kids.

DID YOU SAY COMPETITIONS??
What family gathering is complete without some sibling rivalry? So yes, there will be tournaments happening at the event. The potluck is free; however, the tournaments each cost $10 per person competing. So if you do the cornhole tournament, it is $10 for each person on the team for a total of $20. We will have fun prizes for the winners as well as bragging rights for a year! Details of the events are below.
DODGEBALL
This event is by invitation only. We hope to have the top two teams from each city come and compete for the State Championship of GAAY Dodgeball.
We also hope to have the top 7 individuals from each city compete in an all-star state tournament. The seven participants in each city with the most MVP Nominations will have first dibs on playing that day.
SHARP SHOOTER CHALLENGE
Each participant will take 5 free throws, 5 designated mid-range jump shots, and 5 designated three pointers. You will receive 1 point for a made free throw, 2 points for a made mid-range shot, and 3 points for a 3pointer. Maximum score possible = 30 points.
The top ten will advance to the second round and take the same 15 shots. The combined score of rounds 1 and 2 will determine which five advance to the finals. The five participants int he the third round will then add their three scores together for a total cumulative score.
All participants will use a size 6 ball.
Cornhole
This will be a double elimination tournament. Once you lose twice you are eliminated. Standard ACA rules apply.
You may bring your own bags to use; however, they must me the guidelines per the ACA Rules below.
MARIO KART
Heats with four participants. The top two in each heat advance in the bracket. The bottom two fall to the "Win Your Way Back" Bracket. Same rules apply, top two advance in the Win Your Way Back Bracket, the bottom two of the heat are eliminated.
This process continues until only four participants remain. How these final four place in the last heat is their final placing regardless of wether they have previously lost a heat or not.
POTLUCK DINNER
A holiday family gathering wouldn't be complete without a potluck style dinner. The board of directors are providing ham and turkey for the event, so please do not bring either of those. However, we ask that each person bring a dish that has meaning to them. Maybe it's the item your family always asks you to bring, maybe you are tasked with making it every year once Great Grandma Edna passed way, etc. We will email a template for you to share your recipe and the story behind its importance and compile all those recipes into a digital GAAY Sports Family Cookbook that will be available to download in January.
