PICKLEBALL

You will be playing doubles pickleball; however, it is a singles league in the sense that you are ultimately playing for yourself, and there will only be one champion. Each week, 6 people will be assigned to a court based on a combination of skill and points earned the previous week. When you register, you must rate yourself accurately so you are placed on the appropriate court the first week. A total of 9 matches will be played on each court, resulting in six matches per player each week.

We will be using a ladder format for our league. This allows us to have all skill levels in the same league and still have competitive play throughout the league while ensuring people of a similar skill level are playing together. It's perfect for people to test their game against people better than them.

To ensure we mix up who we play with each week, the top two performers from the ladder will move up one court the following week. The middle two stay on the court they were on, and the two people with the least amount of points earned that week will move down one court.

You can only move one court at a time. This way, a beginner who has a great first week against other beginners doesn't jump all the way to the top court and get destroyed the following week. Or vice versa, one bad week won't drop you three courts.
